To assemble finished product using components, sub-assemblies, fasteners, and package material following standard operation procedures and safety practices in compliance with company policies.


  • Follows all pertinent company Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
  • Accountable for the quality of work and documentation.
  • Reviews SOPs to determine required assembly finish on product and any special option.
  • Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the shop order.
  • Checks for designated carton pack.
  • Contacts group leader or supervisor if shortages, incorrect parts or non-conforming materials are in bins.
  • Checks operating controls and safety stops on machines.
  • Check power and hand tools for correct operation.
  • Starts up, operates, and shuts down equipment in line with company safety procedures for equipment under power.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies, per shop order.
  • Packs finished product into designated carton and inserts pre-printed materials in carton of each finished product.
  • Completes production reporting following company guidelines. Keeps record of time spent and material used.
  • Maintains acceptable output average to specific production standards.

  • When line is down, may perform product repair on items assign by group leader, supervisor, or manager.
  • Performs related work and other duties as required.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
  • Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) for work being performed.

    Training and Experience

  • High school or high school equivalency diploma.
  • Experience in intricate hand assembly on fast paced assembly line, preferred.
  • Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Working knowledge of tools, inspection equipment, and work methods.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow SOPs and other policies and procedures.

  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit and bend over, for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Have normal eye/hand motor coordination and the ability to grasp small objects.
  • Possess a normal extended reach.
  • Have the ability to determine colors and possess near acuity.
  • Working Conditions

    Manufacturing plant environment with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust, and atmospheric conditions.
