Job Overview Crescent Hotels and Resorts is seeking an experienced Director of Global Sales to dig into the Eastern Region. This role requires an individual with a knack for uncovering, qualifying and closing on new group business leads. The Director of Global Sales is responsible for both solicitation and relationship management for accounts within the Eastern territory ?? and is the primary Crescent contact for the Association, Government, Financial Services and Pharmaceutical market segments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Researches potential accounts and identifies prospects. Presents the Crescent portfolio of to both existing and prospective customers ?? with the goal of educating customers about our hotels as well as influencing them to book their upcoming programs into Crescent properties. * Develops targets, objectives and action plans designed to grow revenue and share from assigned territory and market segments. Where applicable, assists, educates and engages hotels in cultivating business from these segments. * Represents Crescent Hotels & Resorts at trade shows, industry functions and customer events. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS * Facilitates training for hotels as warranted * Provides content for internal websites and newsletters * Prepares and conducts presentations to both internal and external customers * Responsible for creation and timely submission of expense reports, call reports and activity reports * Must be willing and able to travel as needed Qualifications SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY * High-degree of knowledge and expertise in hotel sales at the regional or national group sales level * High energy level with enthusiasm for both the role and results * Strong statistical analysis and business case development skills * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends and economic factors * Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs * Strong initiative ?? ability to work with little supervision * Proven ability to foster strong customer relationships both internally and externally * Good listening skills * Strong oral and written communications skills * Resourcefulness ?? ability to provide quick solutions to both internal and external customer issues EXPERIENCE * Minimum ten years hotel-related Group Sales experience * Multi-property and multi-brand experience preferred *Position is remote and location is flexible EOE/AA/Disabled/Veterans Crescent Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
