Thomson Reuters is looking to hire a Technical Services Conversions Manager to help lead our North American Conversion team within the Technical Services Group. This team is responsible for data conversion from a firm??s legacy system to Thomson Reuters next generation software and data clean-up. This team uses a proprietary software to perform data conversions. This role is responsible for the overall development and effectiveness of the individual conversion analysts as well as creating and maintaining documentation related to Best Practices for use in the field and driving enhancements to the proprietary software. This role will work with other regional managers and Senior Managers to ensure global consistency on the delivery of conversions for our clients. This candidate should have experience leading or mentoring others and 7 years of development experience having worked in data conversions or migrations.About EliteElite is a leading developer of integrated information solutions for professional services firms worldwide. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for:Onboarding and Development:Ensure new hires get assigned appropriate my Learning PlansManage and monitor new hires through onboardingEnsure new hires have proper support through ramp up periodWork with individuals on development plans for futureHost 1:1 meetings and regional team meetings including contractors and partner resourcesAs this is a non-people manager role work with people manager to asses and evaluate individual performanceRecommend Salary and Promotion to people managementRegional Staffing & Team Management:Work with Regional Directors and Project Managers on staffing questionsWork with RMO to ensure new hires have appropriate field supportAttend regular meetings with other regional managers to promote team effectiveness and gather feedback for improvementAttend regular catch ups with Conversion Managers from other regions to promote consistent deliveries and review project similaritiesClient Projects & Escalations:Attend Weekly Project team meetings & client X2LO meetingsWork with Project Manager or Regional Directors on client escalationsTrack conversion work per project to audit for irregularity and best practice adherenceSales:Participate in client sales calls as neededProvide custom conversion quotesMaintain and enhance existing sales matrix and estimatorWork with sales on easing the process for standardizing conversion estimatesLiaison with regional conversion managers for custom conversion quoting needs or client facing conversion needsBest Practices Documentation:Maintain all project documentation and collaterals related to conversionResponsible for rolling-out updates to Documentation and best practices to the global teamCollect feedback and enhancement ideas from the field for considerationMaintain Hub Page with Best Practices, FAQ and common guidanceWork with regional conversion managers to create My Learning Plans for generic conversion role.Conversion Tools:Collect, analyze and make recommendations for conversion tool enhancements (ECE)Collect, analyze and make recommendations for conversion code enhancements (Data maps)Work with ECE development team and Data Map team to ensure enhancements are properly prioritized and rolled out to the fieldInternal Projects:Work with other services stream leads, Product, development and support as necessary to improve offering and continue to reduce services implementation hoursEngage in the product launch process (on-prem & cloud) as necessary to ensure conversion success and any enhance any documentation or tooling as needed for product releaseLeading selected key projects and activities.Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external customers.Interfacing with third party partners.Driving quality standards in delivery of development solutions to clients within the team.Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and SkillsBachelor??s Degree in mathematics or Equivalent experience/degree3 Years Management/ Mentoring ExperienceExperience with data conversion deliverables and strong understanding of data conversion work processes to enable sound planning and timetabling of the work.Experience with remote access tools and methods e.g. WebExExcellent customer service skillsStrong problem management, troubleshooting and analytical skillsAbility to work with virtual teams to successfully deliver projects or resolutions to escalationsAble to work well under pressure in a demanding environmentIndependent worker with excellent time management and escalation skillsAt Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
