Supervise and coordinate the activities of storeroom personnel engaged in procurement, receiving and distributing of food, beverage and hotel supplies, ensuring all purchasing policies and procedures are followed; Coordinate with other departments concerning goods needed. Ensure that quality and quantity requirements are met at the most competitive price. Inspect merchandise to ensure conformity with purchase order specifications and standards. Reject substandard goods; Approve all purchase orders for goods received; Schedule vendor off-loading and pickup times, ensure proper receiving, handling, storing and issuance procedures are observed to minimize risk of loss; Conduct contract product review to ensure adherence to terms and services; Scheduling purchasing staff; Supervise, direct and train all purchasing staff; Interview, hire, and discipline employees (if necessary); Monitor and participate in inventory processes; Solicit vendors to stay abreast of current development and identify the availability of new products; Responsible for implementation and maintenance of purchasing and management systems to maintain, track and verify appropriate approvals, financial terms, and usage analysis; Creating budget for the purchasing; Conduct departmental meetings; Perform the duties of the purchasing agent, the purchasing buyer as needed; Attend departmental meetings (F&B, Golf, Rooms); Conduct reviews with purchasing staff; Comply with all Washington Liquor regulations; Comply with all Suncadia policies, procedures, and safety regulations; Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older; High school education or GED equivalent. College degree preferred; Minimum five years experience in purchasing; Ability to work well with others and function well in fast paced environment; Able to communicate well with staff and suppliers; Able to work flexible hours and days; Knowledge of resort operations; Knowledge of food, beverage, institutional supplies, furniture, fixtures and other resort equipment; Computer literate; Good driving record; Current Food Handler ??s permit or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of employment; Work flexible days and hours.
