The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution at Fayette (SCI Fayette)is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our staff. As a Dental Assistant, you will work as part of a dedicated team responsible for the oral healthcare of offenders at SCI Fayette.

Work Schedule/Other Information:
*Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
*This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Dental Assistants are an essential part of the healthcare team in the Department of Corrections. As a Dental Assistant at SCI Fayette, you will assist the Dentist during the examination and treatment of patients. Other duties include scheduling appointments, managing daily patient flow, preparing daily call out list(s) and tracking patient treatments.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Graduation from high school and one year of experience in a dental office or clinic
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement: Candidate will be required to take and pass the Pennsylvania Auxiliary Radiologic Procedures Examination as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
PA residency is required for this job title.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Do you have work experience in exposing and developing intraoral radiographs and panorex?
Have you taken and passed the PA Auxiliary Radiologic Procedures Examination as required by the PA State Board of Dentistry?
