Comcast is in the process of modernizing many of its back office systems as part of the overall CXT Next Gen program. As part of that overall program, the Use & Support workstream is focusing on porting the functionality for many of the customer- and frontline employee-facing applications to support the new platform.
Within the context of the Use & Support workstream, there are multiple teams distributed across the multiple Comcast software development centers and who are operating within the workstream. This particular leadership role will focus on one of those teams and honing in on a subset of the overall functionality being built within the program.
* Directly managing one or two teams (approx. 5-10 Engineers including full time employees and contractors), providing regular feedback and coaching regarding both job performance and career development * Overseeing the development and release of enhancements, new features and modifications to new and existing channels * Providing guidance to engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements * Serving as a primary point of contact and liaison between engineering and other teams * Partnering with constituent teams and technical leads to ensure teams follow SDLC processes and conventions, enabling success of applications' release schedules * Serving as product owner including definition of features, user stories, and roadmap for the team and ensuring compliance to the overall portfolio management process * Displays expertise in knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, and skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty. * Displays expertise in process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences. * Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. * Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education Level: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent; Master's Degree or MBA Preferred
Field of Study: Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Management
Years Experience: Generally requires 8-11 years related experience
