Program Overview

The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.

Role Overview

The Security Assessment and Vulnerability management teams are part of the Product Security and Privacy teams reporting up to the Comcast CISO. This position will work as a contributing engineer on important projects supporting security assessment and vulnerability management in a very scaled environment. The position reports to the Director, Product Security team. That team's responsibilities span both operational security and product development security, vulnerability assessment and tracking, working with product development teams on remediation, and working on large scale security related data analytics projects.

Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Candidate will be trained in all aspects of vulnerability management and security assessments.
* The candidate will be exposed to many areas in a rotational basis that the team engages in.
* Exposure includes security assessment, source code scanning, network scanning, security tools, and vulnerability management.

Preferred Qualifications

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United Statesbased college or university that has a cooperative learning track
* Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23rd, 2019.
* Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computing & Security Technology, Electrical Engineering
* 3.2 minimum cumulative GPA preferred
* Understanding of TCP/IP networking
* Knowledge of at least one of the following (ore equivalent): Jscript, Python, Ruby, C, C++, bash, rust,
* Above average communication skills
* Passion for cybersecurity
* Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
* Authorized to work in the United States of America

* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
