Responsible for assisting with design review, implementation, administration, and evaluation of all benefits programs. Works in close consultation between benefit vendors, legal counsel, benefit broker, human resources, finance and payroll. Negotiates with vendors on rates, services, and administration. Develop analyzation tools for employee population needs, market trends, and regulatory compliance. Ensures that all programs adhere to current regulations and adhere to the organization's strategic objectives.

* Work with committees and councils including, but not limited to 401(k) investments, ERISA compliance, plan budgets, and vendor review/evaluation. * Execute implementation of the open enrollment process, including technology, communications, and training * Partner with Payroll to ensure benefit deduction codes meet company and vendor needs. * Anticipate and initiate benefit plan changes and modifications as needed. * Research and compare current benefit plans with marketplace benchmarks by participating in area and industry surveys. * Manage new vendor implementation and maintain ongoing relationships with current vendors. * Maintain monthly claims data and report on cost trends for self-funded plans against prior year comps. * Hold quarterly update meetings with the H&W benefits administrator to track cost trend patterns against the budgeted expense and identify favorable/unfavorable cost drivers * Develop and deliver electronic and print communications related to plan changes, new hire enrollment, COBRA enrollment, and open enrollment for all benefit types. * Assist Field HR with escalated issues surrounding plan coverage, enrollment, eligibility, plan termination, convertibility, and other areas as needed. * Perform periodic benefit audits and analyze to ensure Spectra is adhering to ACA, ERISA, IRS, and COBRA regulations. * Work with finance and the H&W benefits administrator to audit, reconcile, and pay all monthly benefit invoices. * Mediate between employees and vendors for life event benefit changes. * Update and maintain a 401(k) holdout register * Process 401(k) rollovers, distributions, and loans with vendor. * Keep up to date with new compliance laws and regulations pertaining to employee benefits. * Send out compliance notices as mandated by law. * Ensure benefit plans comply with union contracts and labor relations activities. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree plus 10 years of Benefits Administration, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. * SHRM-CP or PHR preferred. * Experience with different state regulations required, multinational experience preferred. * Experience with unions preferred.
