Main Purpose of Job:
The Senior Marketing Data Manager is responsible for data integrity, governance and architecture within the marketing database: managing the acquisition and accuracy of prospect, customer, account and user data to underpin customer communications, demand generation and reporting.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Manage acquisition, formatting and import of customer, account and user data from across the business into the Marketing database - ensuring the data is accurate, current and consistent. Work with colleagues to expand regular data flow from additional products * Oversee import of marketing mailing lists and event leads into the marketing database, ensuring accurate formatting, quality control and data privacy compliance * Maintain and develop the marketing database data architecture, hierarchy and dictionary, including product matrix and picklist changes, alignment with the CRM data architecture/other Clarivate information systems, and addressing data exceptions * Manage append/acquisition of marketing data via connections to third party platforms e.g. ZoomInfo, LinkedIn * Primary point of contact for marketing data, providing data and insights to assist with marketing performance tracking and forecasting, and identifying opportunities to improve marketing systems and data management * Responsible for marketing data hygiene and quality including routine checks, manual clean up, and use of contact data washing machines - ensure key performance indicators are gathered, analysed and acted upon * Ad hoc database reporting to identify marketing contacts who match specific criteria * Implementation of project-specific data enhancements e.g. product name changes
* Good understanding of marketing automation (Eloqua preferred) and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) * At least five years' experience of marketing data management * Advanced user of MS Excel - including large data volumes, pivot tables and VLookups * Organised, logical and data-driven. Very strong attention to detail * Project management and problem solving * Strong collaboration and communication skills * Can set priorities and be flexible in changing environment.
* Bachelor's degree * Some IT experience preferred
