Cigna Global Health Benefits (CGHB) is the leading provider of health benefits for globally mobile employee populations for North American employers. CGHB Marketing drives the development and execution of marketing strategies, plans and tools that support profitable growth and retention. The work includes leveraging insights and analysis to understand and define target segments, developing effective messaging that differentiates our offerings in the marketplace - contributing to sales and retention results. We play a critical role in establishing and maintaining client (employer) and customer (employee) relationships.
CGHB Marketing's role is highly collaborative - working with marketing partners, centers of excellence, business leaders and other internal and external resources we provide market insight, market planning, sales and client management support. The Segment Marketing Advisor provides strategic support to our business partners and helps build marketing initiatives focused on key growth segments (e.g., Business to Government, OCONUS, SME or Small to Medium Enterprises).
* Provide consultative support to key business partners, sales and senior management regarding marketing strategies and tactics * Assist in developing, managing and maintaining a wide range of marketing tools in support of campaigns and initiatives to grow our business and support our clients and customers - including marketing collateral, web or other digital content, presentations, videos, etc. * Partners with marketing colleagues to support annual market message development, finalist support, regulatory communications, etc. * Support development of custom client-specific communications * Work closely with Cigna marketing resources across the enterprise and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to maintain and manage GHB messaging * Generate ideas and opportunities to innovate, which can include process, media, tactics, and other ideas intended to improve Cigna's competitive position * Understand the GHB business, our offerings and markets
This position requires a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced energetic team environment, but who has the ability and confidence to work independently with senior level business partners to drive progress and results. The role will provide exposure and experience across the breadth of the business, and opportunity to partner with peers and business leaders across many functional areas.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communication or equivalent work experience. Master's Degree a plus. * 8+ years in marketing, marketing communications, or comparable roles with specific experience managing communication strategies. Insurance or financial services experience a plus. * Prior experiencing supporting the development of integrated communications plans that include both traditional and online tactics - Eloqua e-mail campaign platform experience/expertise a plus. * Strong interest in understanding the challenges and nuances of international business requirements; global marketing experience a plus * Creativity and focus - must be able to execute on ideas quickly with a variety of teams and resources within and outside of the organization * Goal oriented and personally accountable; resourceful and self-directed * Strong project management skills and ability to juggle/manage multiple priorities concurrently is a must. * Attention to detail; ability to multi-task; deadline driven * Strong relationship management skills and team player who can collaborate with internal and external partners to drive results by fostering collaboration and buy-in * Proven ability and comfort in working directly with senior level business leaders. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, research and information gathering skills * Strong PowerPoint skills
