Chubb Overseas General (COG) is seeking a Senior Vice President of Central Operations Overview: Operations to lead and unify initiatives across COG with the ultimate goal of creating Operational Effectiveness in our business while providing the capabilities (people, process and technologies) in support of profitable growth and a positive experience for our customers and employees. COG has operations in 52 countries with hundreds of offices. Operations supports all lines of business in our Property & Casualty, Accident and Health, and Personal Lines business divisions for both domestic and multinational customers in the various channels in which our customers choose to interact. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize processes and capabilities in support of business strategy across COG.
Responsible for all transaction processing support across the policy administration lifecycle with a focus on control, quality, efficiency, and superior internal and external customer satisfaction.
Liaise with Line of Business Owners to understand their business priorities and work with regional teams to align capabilities to support the business plan.
Work with the regional business and operations functional areas to ensure that initiatives and the day-to-day processes that support them operate in a fully coordinated and integrated manner.
Develop differentiation in servicing models based on risk complexity and use of structure, process and automation to drive down per unit costs, protecting margins and allowing for more competitive premiums.
Define, report, and action operational metrics to ensure we are continuously delivering a positive outcome for the customer
Sponsors and provides leadership for major programs that support COG business goals across the regions or business divisions.
Ensures that supporting systems are optimized to maximize productivity, ease of use and to persist consistent data across the organization.
Ensures support to both the production and servicing of multinational customers with business operations in COG countries and external network partners and manages to assure the committed service level agreements, operating cost and premium processing. Liaises with the head of Global Services to ensure that COG and NA have collaborative processes to persist Multinational servicing capabilities as a key competitive differentiator.
Partners with Claims and Finance functional leaders to optimize processes for COG across the entirety of the Insurance Value Chain Lifecycle.
Drive standards in data, process and, coding across COG. Implement improvements in data capabilities across portfolio management and sales performance management
Work with business leaders to coordinate and optimize the product/product change to market lifecycle
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
BS/BA degree required. Masters/MBA preferred
15+ years of experience in insurance or financial services with globally distributed operations.
Experienced in the development and implementation of technology and operations practices and policies, preferably for companies in the insurance or financial services industry
Systems and operations management credentials accompanied by proven process management capabilities.
An exceptional record of achievement as technology/operations professional.
P&C Policy Lifecycle subject matter expertise
Experience in both Commercial and Consumer P&C lines of Insurance across multiple distribution channels
Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
The ability to grasp complex issues and understand the operational impact to the business and resulting plans of action
Ability to build teams; formally and informally.
Accustomed to and effective at driving change in a matrixed organization.
Strong aptitude for technology and agile technology delivery processes
Demonstrated financial acumen and insurance P&L experience
Direct project management experience
Prior experience with Six Sigma or process design / optimization
Performance management orientation; can use data to drive decision making
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the execution of organizational goals and objectives
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Bias for action, ability to make decisions and execute in fast paced environment
Multi lingual (Spanish preferred)
Ability to travel internationally and adapt business schedule to meet business needs across geographies.
