The Senior Director, Psychiatric Nursing will oversee behavioral health nursing across the enterprise. This includes directly supervising the nursing staff on the Medical Behavioral Unit, Psychiatric Care Technicians, Psychiatric Advanced Practice Providers and Behavioral Analysts. This role will support the development of education and clinical skills to manage the complex patients/families at CHOP including children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, and psychiatric diagnoses. The Senior Director will partner with other leaders to lead, develop and advance the clinical direction of the psychiatry and behavioral health at the enterprise level which includes the integration of nursing into the behavioral health care of patients and families.
* Directly supervises, develops and supports leaders in the care of behavioral health patients and families * Provide leadership, management and clinical direction for Medical Behavioral Unit, Adolescent Unit, Psychiatric Technicians, Board Certified Behavioral Analysts, Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Providers * Provide supervision, and training to clinical staff, with a particular focus on evidence-based interventions * In partnership with psychiatry and behavioral health leaders, direct, refine, and advance our clinical model to remain current with state-of-the art research and evidence-based practices * Build staff capacity and expertise to serve more patients/families; * Develop/retain clinical staff through professional development and clinical supervision; * In partnership with psychiatry and behavioral health leaders, develop effective systems for evaluating, monitoring, and improving overall clinical efficiency, individual and family outcomes and staff performance with regard to support for individuals and their families; * Ensure clinical compliance with regulatory bodies and best practices in the development and implementation of behavior support plans aimed at reducing the frequency and severity of behaviors; * Conduct regular, required trainings including but not limited to onboarding related topics and Crisis Management; * Ensure all written training protocols and materials are up-to-date and support current training programs; Assure alignment with regulatory requirements

* BSN with a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field of study.
* Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience that includes leadership experience.
