Job Summary

Primary responsibilities are to administratively manage Pediatric inpatient programs in 8 Affiliate hospitals, including 40-50 CHOP employed physicians and various affiliate programmatic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Provider staffing

Collaborates with program medical directors and facilitates provider staffing needs for all affiliate pediatric hospitalist programs.

Finance & Accounting

Tracking & processing of expenses, check requests, A/P & A/R transactions across one or multiple cost centers and/or with complex charge back scenarios. Processes HRIS, Physician compensation transactions. Provides monthly review of physician hours. Bi-weekly payroll. Closely monitors revenue capture, working with physician teams and finance to optimize professional revenue.

Supervisory

Supports and facilitates all recruiting, onboarding and orientation of physician groups May directly or indirectly supervise up to 2 people within a single (role/function/discipline). May be directly responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Frequently seeks advice from direct supervisor/AD an HR Business Partner on management issues. Implements determined course of action.

Program Development/ Marketing

Takes direction from Administrator and clinical leadership to implement identified objectives. Coordinates internal (i.e. - intranet, @CHOP) communication and operational strategies under direction from supervisors.

Data Collection, Reporting & Analysis

Provide and oversee data collection, organization, report generation and distribution.

Program Management, Clinical / Departmental Operations

Active team member, routinely participates in projects, programs, initiatives, committees, task forces, etc.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: Bachelors of/in business, health administration or related field

Required Experience: Minimum of three (3) years related healthcare experience. Previous supervisory experience.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Masters of/in business, health administration or related field.

Additional Technical Requirements

* Proficiency in standard office applications, especially spreadsheets.
* Ability to analyze, plan, and implement new ideas.
* Demonstrated strong leadership potential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Fast learner with the ability to work independently. Detail oriented, excellent followup and uses effective error prevention strategies.
