CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our Parsippany, NJ or Indianapolis, IN offices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Development of HVAC system construction documents (drawings and specifications) for a variety of commercial, institutional and industrial clients including boiler and chiller plants and air distribution systems.
Generate reports recommending mechanical systems.
Represent CHA at client meetings.
Participate in project review meetings.
Develop and adjust project approach and direct detailed phases of a project.
Select systems and equipment.
Complete and check reports and calculations.
Allocate billable time to projects within market This individual will be responsible for meeting a utilization goal by performing work on billable projects.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
7 years of mechanical engineering experience is required.
Experience with design of HVAC, and Plumbing systems.
AutoCAD experience required
Trane Trace experience is a plus
Revit experience preferred.
Technically astute to manage the activity within the discipline.
Strong ability to resolve matters that arise within the discipline.
Strong experience with project budgeting.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of internal accounting processes.
Demonstrates a strong knowledge of company s technical processes.
