What you will do - Essential Responsibilities
Lead projects that transform our workforce
Coordinate multiple projects with high complexity and interdependency
Present to various leadership groups about progress
Be a trusted partner for leaders of our most important strategic changes
Be a champion for our Associates while balancing the needs of the business
Work cross-functionally to figure out how we can 'win together,' one of our core values
Purpose of the role
Our job is to help CarMax ensure that we equip our Associates to smoothly adapt to rapidly changing Customer preferences. The ideal candidate loves building a hypothesis, turning data into insight and then turning insight into action that will positively impact our Associates. To excel in this role, an individual must be able to:
Think critically to develop hypotheses about our workforce
Pressure test those hypotheses with strong analytical skills
Independently drive change programs
Build and maintain positive working relationships at various levels
Be courageous about improving our Culture and our workforce while also being creative about how we can continuously improve and set all Associates up for the next 25 years of CarMax growth
Demonstrate ability to hit targets, meet deadlines and drive results
Qualifications and Requirements
MBA, Masters Degree or other demonstrable equivalent experience
2-3 years post-MBA with consulting or equivalent HR experience
Experience influencing at all levels
Proven track record of leading change programs
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional time and project management skills
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
