Cardno is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to represent the company with clients and consultants on mid- to large-scale Asset Management (particular emphasis on Facility Condition Assessment) projects and make decisions on behalf of the firm. The chosen candidate will ideally work out of one of Cardno's Government Services offices located nationwide, leading project teams involved in assignments primarily for large US Government industrial and military facilities worldwide, with emphasis on the Department of Defense.

Cardno is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to represent the company with clients and consultants on mid- to large-scale Asset Management (particular emphasis on Facility Condition Assessment) projects and make decisions on behalf of the firm. The chosen candidate will ideally work out of one of Cardno's Government Services offices located nationwide, leading project teams involved in assignments primarily for large US Government industrial and military facilities worldwide, with emphasis on the Department of Defense..

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Direct team members (employees and consultants) at all levels of contract administration, including planning, directing and supervising all aspects of the project technical requirements, financial results, client satisfaction, safety and quality.
>Direct and manage multi-disciplinary field teams deployed to client sites
>Proactively manage and mentor junior staff
>Consult with clients to determine project plans and schedules
>Support and represent Cardno in obtaining contracts and task orders
>Prepare and/or manage the execution of studies, reports, and designs
>Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws
>Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership

Qualifications:
>Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
>BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Planning or closely related field
> 5-10 years of experience in Engineering, Planning or Facilities Management
> Professional registration as an Engineer (PE), Architect (RA), or Planner (AICP) required
> Experience implementing Sustainment Management Systems such as BUILDERTM preferred
> Ability to communicate effectively both in written and oral presentation
> Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgment
> Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
> Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
> Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures
> Ability to use extensive working knowledge of all paperwork procedures necessary to complete the contract documents to obtain permits
> Ability to use working knowledge of all consultant work to maintain efficiencies and meet deadlines
> Ability to write reports and business correspondences
> Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
> Ability to travel extensively via a variety of travel methods including air travel
> Experience with Federal Agency/DOD planning and budget/contracting procedures
> Experience managing Facility Condition Assessment programs. Knowledge of BUILDER web-based Sustainment Management System (SMS) software application developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center's Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) is highly desirable
> Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
> Expertise in MS Office
> Superior leadership and management skills
