Provides and supervises security matters for employees, clients, visitors and property in accordance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Files reports and is responsible for taking proactive security measures. Assists in coordinating the emergency response to incidents that occur at the facility. Makes decisions regarding the need to dispatch, add, and/or post guards in response to specific incidents. Schedules and oversees 24/7 contract guard coverage for the facility. Trains guard staff on emergency response procedures. Reviews and files incident reports for lost or stolen items and reports for other incidents including medical emergencies. Contributes to the maintenance of the building fire and life safety programs, ensuring coverage and proper staff certifications. Ensures security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, and Alarm Systems are functioning properly. Reports discrepancies and ensures follow- up service is performed.Provides guidance to less experienced staff; may serves as the team leader for a team of security staff. High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience required; bachelor's degree preferred. 2-3 years of total work experience preferred.
