A regional hospital in Kentucky is searching for a pediatric hospitalist who can provide locum tenens coverage for four months, beginning in early September with a possible extension.
Over the course of a 24-hour call shift, the provider can expect to see between one and four pediatric patients, with very few admissions on average.
The client notes that typically the call schedule is light, but the locum may be asked to assist with caesarian sections if the OB/GYN on staff expresses a need.
The locum will be working several spans of 24-hour call coverage throughout the assignment and will be provide training on the McKesson EMR system.
