Hello and Thank You for your interest in joining the Bareburger Team.
We are looking to immediately fill a Part Time Line Cook Position for the Philadelphia Location of our Corporate-Owned, Table-Service, Fast-Casual, Burger-Bar. We are located at 11th and Walnut Street in the Gayborhood. The area is currently in the middle of a huge revitalization. We have recently launched a new menu that is now 50% Vegan. As such, we are primarily looking for a skilled Line Cook who can lead a kitchen through the weeds and be fluent with proper kitchen protocol regarding Dietary Restrictions and Food Allergens. The utmost of care must be paid attention to every order as custom Orders are an everyday experience!
We are looking for a Line Cook with at least 2 years of experience in a fast paced kitchen. Line Cooks are all cross-trained and should be able to handle varous stations on different shifts. These include the following: Fry Station, Finish Station, Salad Station, Meat Grill Station, Vegan Grill Station. We do around 50% Dine-In/50%Take-Out Orders with the bulk of our sales occuring from 12PM-2pm/6pm-9pm weekdays and Afternoons/Evenings on Weekends.

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:

  • Must have experience working in a faced paced kitchen.

  • Have clear knowledge of food handling issues and preferably have a Servsafe Food Handler s License.

  • Have familiarity with online scheduling. We use 7shifts for communication and scheduling

  • Ensures quality control & consistency of all foods. Ensure inventory is rotated properly (FIFO: First In First Out).

  • Adheres to health & safety standards when handling food.

  • Keeps prep area clean, safe & free of clutter.

  • Relies on instructions & pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Adheres to Bareburger standards, including personal hygiene & appearance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the General or assistant manager.

  • Is able to lift 50 lbs.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least two (2) years experience working on the line in a fast paced kitchen environment
  • Must have some knife skills & understand proper food handling
  • Must always be punctual
  • Must have the requirements necessary for employment in the US

Responsibilities:

  • Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, as well as kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work space, including proper removal and storage of leftover foods
  • Stock inventory appropriately and consistently through approved vendors
  • Ensure that food comes out to customers at a high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
  • Assist in food preparation assignments during off-peak periods as needed
Pay is determind by Talent and Experience. Starting pay rates may be raised once exemplary performance is determined.
