  • Designs and redesigns nursing process to promote optimal outcomes via implementation and integration of identified best practices; may or may not be driven by policy and procedure development. Will provide leadership in nursing clinical integration as he/she serves as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians and administrative leadership. Will work collaboratively with all departments and the health system to promote nursing practice. Will promote safety initiatives within nursing practice. -Will serve as an integral member of the nursing team. Will always function within the scope of professional nursing standards and the state board of nursing rules and regulations to provide successful clinical assimilation. -Identifies performance improvement opportunities within nursing practices/services. Collects or directs data collection for identified key nursing metrics and performs assessment/analysis of data as well as developing action plans as needed based on the analysis. Works on special projects as needed and directed. -Familiar with OSHA/TOSHA, state and CMS regulations. Monitors compliance and facilitates action plans for noncompliance issues. Coordination of staff for Clinical area; Assist in writing chemotherapy orders; Oversee dispensing; maintain narcotics log; coordinate all chemotherapy add-ons; Apply patients to FDA required programs; Annual clinical evals; Daily chemotherapy drug purchases / dispensing purchases; Approve drug administration based on criteria; Handle patient complaints / outside complaints for clinical issues; Provide supervision of all clinical staff.

    Valid RN license; BSN preferred. Candidate must be self motivated, strong leadership skills, coach role model, skillful communicator (verbal and written) and excellent educator; 3 - 5 years management experience required.

    RN, BLS, OCN certified or must obtain certification. CPR is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS
