Supports AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies in fulfilling its procurement requirements. Oversees and directs strategic aspects of source-to-contract process throughout the enterprise. Utilizes subject matter expertise in consulting and professional service categories. Manages large and complex contracts and relationships. Maintains relationships with and proactively engages key internal stakeholders and business units to ensure satisfaction and delivery of value to the enterprise. Enables competitive selection of high quality suppliers, and negotiates favorable pricing and terms. Partners with other enterprise functions (finance, legal, compliance, etc.) to continuously improve business systems and processes.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. Business, Engineering, Finance, Law, or Operations preferred. * Minimum 10 years progressive, relevant business experience including 5+ years of highly visible managerial level purchasing, operations, supply chain, contract negotiation experience required * Demonstrated experience in successfully managing in a matrixed structure; demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus at executive levels and in and cross-functional environments * Experience in managing projects of high visibility at a relevant level, using formal project management tools and techniques * Proficiency in the use of e-Procurement applications required. PeopleSoft, Ariba, SAP, or Zycus experience preferred. * Consulting experience preferred.
