Perform tasks involving all type of craft skill on a commercial construction project. Primary duties will include constructing, erecting, installing, or repairing of structures and fixtures. This includes but is not limited to concrete forms, building framework, window and door frames, casework, siding, drywall, roofing, insulation, framing, including walls, roofs, insulation and vapor barrier installation. Demolition, temp construction and bracing for buildings. Operate basic construction equipment, such as truck, skid steer, fork lift. Read and interpret plans and specifications. Must be able to perform work as detailed in the plans and specifications.
Must have comprehensive working knowledge of commercial construction and 5+ years of carpentry experience.
Must be able to study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
Must be able to shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
Knowledge of carpentry on a commercial project including construction work, all types of framing, including walls, roofs, insulation and vapor barrier installation.
Knowledge of finish carpentry skills including installation of cabinets and trim, door and window installation including commercial grade hardware.
Ability to operate basic construction equipment, such as forklifts and loaders.
Ability to perform duties and operation of tools of the trade in strict compliance with OSHA rules.
Work well with in a team setting.
Requires ability to work outside in all weather conditions. Excessive cold
Required to wear various levels of PPE (hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety glasses; hard hats, knee pads, insulated rubber or leather gloves, fall protection, and protective clothing.
May use ladders, scaffolding, towers surfaces that are 4 to 12 above ground.
