Responsibilities Position Summary: Collaborate with Marketing Communications Managers, Product Managers and various internal customers to design creative print and digital assets for all departments while working within brand guidelines to meet deadline and maintain a high degree of professionalism. Responsibilities: Essential Duties Conceptualize and design a wide range of visual communications including advertisements, brochures, surgical techniques, direct mail, sales promotional pieces and internal communications materials while maintaining the integrity of the Aesculap brand Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and esthetic design concepts to aid in the enhancement of website visuals. Create various cohesive materials and messaging for tradeshows and events Apply a style guide across multiple businesses to create consistency and uniformity Collaborate with printers and promotional item vendors to determine appropriate print and production methods to achieve desired visual effects Manage printer relationships. Secure price quotes, place print orders and oversee the quality and timeliness of the completion of all jobs Solid understanding of printing and pre-press processes as well as digital design requirements Work with outside agencies and provide clear art direction as needed Communicate ideas to colleagues and clients in a professional, articulate manner Effectively manage project timelines Maintain departmental databases (projects, DOC numbers, share drives, etc.) Take direction and work in a creative team environment, as well as work on projects independently Develop creative concepts Manage multiple tasks, duties and deadline expectations Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual Must embody the Company s Vision, Mission and Values Other duties may be assigned Expertise: Knowledge & Skills Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Qualifications Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc Required: Bachelor s degree in graphic design or equivalent area of study Minimum of 2 years work experience in graphic design supporting marketing communications activities Experience with onsite and studio photography; shooting, editing and re-purposing video content a plus High proficiency with Mac systems. Knowledge of PCs a plus. Advanced experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat) required Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, experience with Photography and video highly desirable. Solid understanding of printing and pre-press processes as well as digital design requirements Experience with photography and video editing a plus Self-motivated with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong attention to detail Creative problem solver Strong work ethic Enthusiastic, positive and outgoing attitude with a collaborative spirit While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
